Tots Corner Nursery

We aim to educate and nurture the whole child. This holistic approach provides opportunities for children to discover and develop unique talents and abilities in many areas, including emotional, spiritual and moral, cultural, language and physical development. We create a culture of achievement within a vibrant and quality learning environment, ensuring positive reinforcement at all levels of ability through appropriately distinguished expectations. Each child is unique and when nurtured, encouraged and supported, can undertake age appropriate challenges and pursue natural curiosity. Even our youngest children are introduced to a stimulating nursery life where enjoyment is the main ingredient in a program that initially teaches through play. The nursery school day offers children a range of practical and creative activities and develops verbal, literacy and numeracy skills, as well as placing emphasis on independence and social interaction.

Our mission is for all Tots Corner children to stand on their own as lifelong learners, growing in confidence and independence, prepared to be major contributors for tomorrow. All children are encouraged to play hard, work hard and make the most of every opportunity open to them. This way, they achieve their full potential, through the best possible guidance and practice. Our qualified and experienced early childhood educators aim to create rich and meaningful early learning experiences for each child via a varied and sturdy framework, which supports children to develop independence, confidence, self-esteem, and a love of learning.

Curriculum

Tots Corner Nursery follows Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). There are seven areas of learning, Physical development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Creative Art and Design. This gives children a broad range of knowledge and skills in preparation for school. Tots Corner has also started to incorporate the Montessori Method and principles, helping your child become more independent, develop concentration and a love of learning that stays with them throughout their life. We offer a well-balanced daily routine which includes circle time, story time, Music and movement, small group time, soft play, art and craft, and outdoor play in our large outdoor area.

We also organize a unique camp in the months of July and August for the children.  As a nursery with summer camp, we offer working parents flexibility, and children the opportunity to learn and be active during the hot summer months.

Admissions

We register children year round provided we have space in a classroom. If no spaces are available your child will be placed on a waiting list and you will be contacted as soon as one becomes available.  We take children from 1-4 years, please come and have a tour of our nursery and our large outdoor area anytime, meet our teachers and see the lovely environment at Tots Corner Nursery.

Facilities

Tots corner has a fully equipped large outdoor area where children can explore freely. They spend time planting, climbing, and playing in the sand pit. We also have an activity hall where each class can spend time on activities such as Music and Movement, Dance, Construction or Art. Children also have a soft play area, where they have free play or teacher led physical activities.

As a high safety nursery, you can be sure that your child is in good hands. We’ve collaborated with Boecker, and have received the Safe Child Care certificate for being a high safety nursery in Doha. We undergo regular audits for health and safety, food handling and infection control. All this ensures that your child learns and flourishes in the healthiest, safest and most hygienic environment and that you have peace of mind as a parent.
